DK Bose or Bose DK?

Posted in

The Controversy :  The extremely hit track "bhag bhag DK Bose" from the upcoming film "Delhi Belly" has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. The bongs with the name "DK Bose" who were initially very happy when the song came out, showed some  serious disappointment when they realized that their name has been used, abused and how! when you sing along "DK Bose....DK. Bose ...DK Bose" you know that you actually are saying out loud  the  fiery expletive used in the Northern part of India.

The Unhappy Parent (s) : Anubhav Sinha, the director of Ra.One says that he is very upset with Aamir Khan for the track song. He says "I have a nine-year-old son, Shlok and I would be very embarrassed if he started singing that around me!" He adds, "I dare not ask my son whether he has heard the song or knows the meaning." Aamir had said in one of his blog posts that the film has potential to ruin his reputation of being a classy film maker. Infact a large number of Indian parents have shown dissatisfaction towards the song and are even planning to boycot the movie.

Delhi Belly Team Get Defensive : Kiran Rao went out of her way saying good things about the song. She feels that the lyrics are funny and there is nothing wrong with it. She apparently went to the extent of saying that if you don’t like the song, you didn’t have to hear it as no one was forcing people to do that.

Ram Sampath  the composer of "DK Bose" has voiced his displeasure saying that Sinha has made movies with cheap content and unsuitable viewing previously.

Looking at Sinha’s last film Cash (2007), Sampath has started circulating pictures from the movie which are provocative and vulgar. “He (Sinha) is fine with his kid seeing this (the erotic number in Cash)! This is blatant hypocrisy,”  says Sampath.
